Schnall earns Centennial honor for standout week at the plate

LANCASTER, Pa. - Haverford College's Jill Schnall earned recognition from the Centennial Conference for a standout week at the plate as the junior was named the conference softball co-player of the week on Monday afternoon.

Schnall's bat packed a powerful punch as she blasted three home runs during a six-game week including one in each contest of the twinbill with defending conference champion Washington College.

The second baseman, who extended her career-high hitting streak to 12 games, also drove in nine runs and scored four more while batting .533 (8-for-15).

Schnall's final round-tripper of the week, a three-run shot against host Dickinson College, moved her into third place all-time in program history for career home runs (nine).

Schnall shared the honor with senior Emily Sneeringer from McDaniel College.
