Signature wins: The Fords showed a lot of versatility during their Centennial Conference victories against Swarthmore and Ursinus. In the doubleheader against their Hood Trophy rivals, the Fords used dominant pitching as shutouts from Kendall Chambers and Temma Levis paved the way to a sweep. Haverford also showed it could swing the bats with any team in the conference during a 13-9 victory at Ursinus. That season-high 13 run performance was highlighted by first-team All-Centennial Conference selection Julia Blake breaking the College's record with five runs scored in a single game as she went 4-for-4 at the plate with a double, home run, and three RBI as she was hit by pitch in her final plate appearance of the game. However, that offensive showcase was anything but a one person show as each player in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit, with four players having multi-hit afternoons. Each of the starting nine also scored or drove in at least one run during that win.

Season Notes: Haverford has now had at least four players on the All-Centennial Conference team in each of head coach Erin Brooks' first three seasons … In addition to Blake's first-team recognition, Kendall Chambers, Jessica Koshinski, and Ashley Sisto were recognized as honorable mention selections … Koshinski, the 2016 CC Rookie of the Year, has been named All-Centennial Conference in each of her first three seasons – including two first-team selections … Chambers earned all-conference honors for the second straight season as she graduated with the College's record for saves in a career with 11 … Sisto earned her all-conference accolades in her first year at Haverford … Each of Haverford's eligible All-Centennial Conference players were also named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll (Blake, Chambers, Koshinski) … Haverford had three of the 12 players across the entire conference who earned both the academic and athletic accolades at the conference level.

Looking ahead: With only Kendall Chambers graduating from this year's team, the Fords appear ready to bounce back into the playoff conversation after a string of four straight playoff appearances was snapped in 2017. Chambers graduated as a member of two Centennial Conference Championship teams. Of the eight returning starters, five of them have started during at least the past two seasons which includes the program's first-ever appearance at an NCAA Super Regional.
