All-Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College softball team had two players recognized on the All-Centennial Conference release that was announced by conference officials. Julia Blake was named a second-team All-Centennial Conference second baseman, while Temma Levis was an honorable mention All-CC pick in the circle. Additionally, Jessica Koshinski was named to the Centennial Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Julia Blake earned All-Centennial Conference honors for the third time in her career with today's announcement. Blake led the Centennial Conference with a .434 batting average and a single-season program-record .525 on-base percentage. The junior's batting average was the second highest single-season mark in school history. Her .626 slugging percentage was second only to her teammate, Emma Souter, while her 33 runs scored were also tops among all Centennial Conference players. She finished her junior season with nine doubles, two triples, and two home runs, driving in a total of 21 runs. Her 62 total bases ranked seventh among all players in the conference despite the Fords' numerous cancelations due to the weather. As a middle infielder, she was one of the best at her position with a .946 fielding percentage this spring.

Sophomore Temma Levis earned All-Centennial Conference recognition for the first time in her college career. As the team's traditional game one starter, Levis finished her season with an 11-5 overall record to compliment her 2.49 ERA. She made 20 starts in the circle, throwing a complete game during 13 of those games – including a shutout of McDaniel during the Centennial Conference Tournament. Levis came on to save the only two games in which she came on in relief. During Centennial Conference regular season contests, Levis improved upon those impressive stats with a 1.62 ERA which ranked second in the conference. She was 5-2 during those games, allowing just 58 hits during her 56 innings of work.

Jessica Koshinski was named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship team as a senior captain. A three-time All-Centennial Conference performer, Koshinski was a member of the team's senior class that played in three Centennial Conference Tournaments, made it to a pair of Centennial Conference Championship games, and won the conference crown in 2016 before embarking on the deepest postseason run in program history.

Haverford finished the 2018 season with a 21-12 overall record, including a 9-7 mark against Centennial Conference competition during the regular season. The third-seeded Fords made it to the Centennial Conference Championship game before the decisive game seven was rained out, awarding the conference's automatic seed to the top seed in the tournament.
