HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College softball team has announced its 2019 schedule. The Fords are coming off a Centennial Conference runner-up appearance after last year's decisive game seven of the championship series was rained out to deny the team a chance at its third Centennial Conference in five years. Hungry to climb back to the top of the conference this season under second-year head coach Kate Poppe, the Fords return six of their eight starters from the field and each of their three pitchers from last season. Haverford finished with an overall record of 21-12 last year, including a 9-7 record in Centennial Conference contests.
Haverford went 9-1 in home games last spring and is scheduled to host seven more doubleheaders this coming spring on the Class of '95 Field. Haverford is also slated to play 10 games during the College's week of Spring Break during its annual trip to Florida.
