Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Temma Levis has been named the Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career after posting a 0.69 ERA with two wins and two saves during her four appearances in the circle.

Levis won both of her Centennial Conference starts as she began her week with a six-hit complete game victory against Muhlenberg before winning a 1-0 pitcher's duel against Dickinson on Saturday. During that 1-0 game, she allowed just four hits over her seven innings of work. Levis also came on in relief to save the game two victory against Muhlenberg and recorded her second save in as many games against Neumann.

Haverford's junior co-captain headlines a Fords' pitching staff that is leading the Centennial Conference with a 2.11 ERA. Individually, Levis is leading her Centennial peers with a 1.17 ERA overall. That mark has gotten even better in conference play as she has allowed just three earned runs over her 27.2 innings of conference action. Levis' 0.76 Centennial Conference ERA ranks first among all starters as opponents are batting just .191 against her in Centennial play.

Levis is 10-2 overall on the season during her 15 starts. She has thrown a complete game in nine of those outings with the shutout of Dickinson being her second such effort of the season. She also no-hit the University of New England during the Fords' trip to Florida back in mid-March. Her 10 victories and two saves this season are also setting the pace in the Centennial Conference.

However, her exploits were far from limited to the circle as Levis also batted .333 this past week as she drove in six runs and scored six more. Levis is currently batting .349 on the season and ranks 11th in the conference with 18 runs driven in.

Behind Levis' exploits in the circle, the Fords split with first-place Dickinson on Saturday. Haverford is currently even with the Red Devils in the loss column, but Dickinson has played one more doubleheader to date. The Fords resume Centennial Conference play this Tuesday at rival Swarthmore, a team the Fords are currently battling for second place in the conference standings. On Monday, the team also announced that the postponed doubleheader against Gettysburg will now be played this Thursday at 3 p.m., forcing the cancelation of the scheduled doubleheader with Rowan.
