HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Anna-Sophia Capizzi has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, the conference office announced in a release on Tuesday morning.

Capizzi led the Fords to another 2-0 week and sole possession of first place in the Centennial Conference with averages of 25.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 three-pointers, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 60 percent from long range. Haverford established a new program record with its 10th consecutive victory against McDaniel on Saturday, and has now secured a 20-win season for the third straight campaign and fourth time in program history.

On Wednesday at Muhlenberg, the Chevy Chase, Md. product made program history, reaching the 1,000-point mark behind a 27-point effort that featured five three-pointers. Capizzi is just the 10th player in program history to reach 1,000 points. Her three to secure the 1,000th point of her career also broke the Haverford single-season record for three-pointers in a single season, as Capizzi currently sits alone in first in the category with 70 drained so far in 2019-20. On Saturday, Capizzi added 24 points on four three-pointers, also collecting six rebounds, a pair of steals, and a block as the Fords pulled away from McDaniel to complete the season sweep on Senior Day.

Capizzi currently tops the Centennial Conference in points per game (19.7) and three-point percentage (42.4). She is also in the top five in the conference in field goal percentage (48.7) and free-throw percentage (77.5). On the national landscape, Capizzi is currently ninth in Division III with 70 total three-pointers made. Her points per game total is 26th in the nation, and she ranks 21st in three-point percentage.

Capizzi and the first-place Fords now return to action tomorrow, hosting rival Swarthmore at Gooding '84 Arena. Tip-off time is slated for 6 p.m, with the men's contest against the No. 1 Garnet to follow at approximately 8 p.m.
