MADISON, N.J. – This past Sunday, the Haverford College women's fencing team notched three victories at the Drew Invitational. The Fords took down TCNJ, Queens, and Lafayette, while falling to host Drew and Johns Hopkins in an overall strong performance. Six different fencers, including at least one from each of the weapons, finished the day with a winning record.

Sophomore Anna Neuheardt was one of four sabrists for the Fords that finished with a winning record as she tallied a 10-3 mark to lead all of Haverford's fencers. Senior Sofia Tieze (8-3), sophomore Emily Brown (6-4), and Ayesha Bhikha (3-2) all helped the Fords' sabre team with a victory over host Drew in the opening round and subsequent squad wins in the team's three triumphs.

Foil also won four of its five weapon matchups, highlighted by a 5-4 win against rival Johns Hopkins in the final round of fencing. Alexandra Morrison led the foilists with a 7-3 record on the day, while Amira Abujbara won five matches and Zuyi Wang added three victories.
