Balanced attack sends Haverford past Bryn Mawr

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team received goals from 12 different players on its way to a 19-6 Centennial Conference victory over host Bryn Mawr College on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Jamie Rosenstein paced the Fords (7-5, 3-2 CC) with a career-high four goals on four shots.

Rosenstein's classmates Shannon Rafsol and Sarina Manetta were also impressive against the rival Owls (4-9, 0-6 CC) with two goals and an assist apiece. Rafsol's points were the first of her collegiate career.

Juniors Hannah Morgan and Diana Perry chipped in with two goals each. Perry has now scored multiple goals in 31 of her last 32 games dating back to her first season in a Haverford uniform.

Junior Dayna Kim and freshman Courtney Carter also turned in multiple-point performances with a goal and two assists apiece.

Freshmen Lucy Koch and Averi Gaines, along with sophomore Elyse Adler, each added a goal and an assist while the remaining goals were scored by freshmen Maura Grant and Stephanie Kisciras.

Freshman Annie Kelly also tallied points in the contest with two assists while senior Megan Gallagher registered her only point of the day with a helper on Manetta's goal early in the second half. Nineteen of the visitors' 31 total points on the day came from freshmen.

The Fords scored 10 of the first 11 goals of the contest on the way to their second consecutive conference victory. Senior Shannon Horn (6-3) earned the win between the pipes for Haverford.

Senior Kathleen Magner led Bryn Mawr with three goals while freshman goalie Katie Alpert (4-9) made 10 saves in the loss.

Next up for the Fords is a tough Centennial matchup against visiting Washington College (7-4, 3-2) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
