Women's lacrosse places two on All-Centennial squad

LANCASTER, Pa. - Haverford College's Diana Perry earned first-team honors for the second straight season when the Centennial Conference released its all-conference women's lacrosse squad on Monday afternoon. Senior Anne Cullen received honorable mention recognition.

Perry paced the Fords (8-8, 4-5 CC) in goals (40), points (42) and draw controls (57) for the second consecutive season. The junior offered Haverford a consistent scoring threat with goals in 15 of the Fords' 16 contests in 2014. She has also tallied multiple goals in 34 of her last 36 career games.

Perry tied for second in the Centennial with a team-high 12 free position goals that moved her into second all-time in program history (35). The midfielder, who established a new career high with eight draw controls against Muhlenberg on April 2, will also enter her senior year ranked in the top five in the program annals in draw controls (124) and draw controls per game (2.48).

Earning the first all-conference recognition of her career, Cullen started every contest of the season for the third consecutive year. An anchor on defense, the senior registered 23 ground balls and a career-high 15 caused turnovers including a season-high three against Ursinus College on April 23.

Senior Rosie Samide merited inclusion to the conference's all-sportsmanship squad.

Gettysburg College's Kelsey Markiewicz and Muhlenberg College's Kaitlyn McCaffrey were named the players of the year on offense and defense, respectively. Washington College earned a pair of special awards as goalie Allison Remenapp was voted the rookie of the year while Heidi Yetman took home coach of the year honors.
