Perry garners first-team all-region recognition

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Haverford College junior Diana Perry merited inclusion to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Metro Region Team for the second straight year when the organization released its list of honorees on Monday.

Perry, who earned second-team all-region recognition last season, paced the Fords (8-8, 4-5 CC) in goals (40), points (42) and draw controls (57) for the second consecutive campaign in 2014. The midfielder offered Haverford a consistent scoring threat with goals in 15 of the Fords' 16 contests on the season.

Named first-team All-Centennial Conference in each of the last two seasons, Perry will enter her senior season ranked in the top 10 in program history in goals (seventh, 126), goals per game (10th, 2.52), draw controls (fifth, 124), draw controls per game (third, 2.48) and free-position goals (second, 35).

The IWLCA recognized 256 regional performers overall from Division III including 32 from the Metro Region. The student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams which will be announced on May 19.
