GETTYSBURG, Pa. –  The No. 4 Gettysburg College Bullets used a 10-0 run in the second half to pull away and defeat the Haverford College Women's Lacrosse team, 20-8, at Clark Field on Saturday afternoon.

No. 4 Gettysburg got off to a quick start with a tally from Abby Baigelman just 57 seconds into the contest. Twenty-five seconds later, Katie Landry put the home team in front 2-0. At the 25:40 mark, the Bullets pushed ahead with another goal from Landry. Freshman Molly Lausten registered her 41st goal of the season with 23:08 remaining to get the Fords on the board, but Landry quickly answered with her third goal 21 seconds after.

The Fords got within one on two separate occasions with goals from senior captain Dayna Kim, sophomore Sarina Manetta and junior Elyse Adler. Gettysburg kept its distance with tallies from Amanda Borucki and Baigelman to set the score at 7-4 with 10:57 left in the first half. Haverford would not go away as Lausten scored her second of the game and senior Diana Perry got on the board. Mandy Buell's goal with 3:15 on the clock gave the Bullets an 8-6 lead at halftime.

The two teams exchanged goals to begin the second half, but then the Bullets proved to be too much as they went on 10 goal outburst to put the game out of reach.

Lausten and Perry led the Fords' offense with two goals each. Perry will graduate ranked in the top five in points (193), goals (179), draw controls (167) and free position goals (46). Junior Christina Gould tied her career high with three assists in the loss. Buell had a game-high six goals while Landry put up five goals in the win for Gettysburg.

With the loss, the careers of seniors Margaret Perkoff, Emma Bracker, Hannah Morgan, Nicole Sockett, Brianna Robbins, Perry and Kim come to an end. The Class of 2015 accumulated 38 victories and 20 conference wins. This group also made two Centennial Conference semifinals.
