HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse team (5-4, 1-1 CC) completed a rally after trailing by as many as four goals midway through the first half to win the game and pick up its first Centennial Conference victory of the season in a 13-11 defeat of McDaniel (4-5, 1-1 CC).

The Green Terror got off to a hot start, scoring just 41 seconds into the contest and then twice more to gain an early 3-0 advantage. After Haverford head coach Lauren Wray called a timeout, the Fords netted six of the game's next eight goals, including a five minute stretch when they scored five in a row.

Sarina Manetta scored Haverford's first goal, followed by three scores from Allie Gibbons. Two of the goals from Gibbons were assisted by Christina Gould. The two would later hook up again for a goal late in the game. Gibbons, a freshman, finished with a season-high four goals and one assist.
Gould scored twice and had four assists. Defensively, she caused a game-high four turnovers. The senior midfielder now has 15 points in her last four games (five goals, 10 assists). She also has recorded multiple points in eight games this season.

The second half was a back-and-forth chess match in which Haverford came within one goal of McDaniel's lead on four occasions before Rina Rosnow's game-tying goal with 7:48 remaining. The Haverford freshman had a season-high four goals.
