Women's Lacrosse Hosts Alumnae Game At Swan Field

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse team welcomed back 15 alumnae for its annual alumnae game on Saturday afternoon at Swan Field.

The alumnae who participated in the event were Alexis Bond '15, Shannon Horn '14, Grace Stockbower '13, Bri Robbins '15, Meg Chenworth '16, Isabelle Bertagna '16, Nicole Sockett '15, Emma Bracker '15, Elizabeth Fishman '16, Christina Gould '16, Anne Cullen '14, Alexa Pesce '12, Dayna Kim '15, Josie Ferri '12, and Meg Gallagher '14.

The alumnae team recieved goals from Pesce (2), Gallagher, Kim and Gould. Chenworth and Horn split time in goal for the visiting side, combining for 10 saves.

In 2016, head coach Lauren Wray's team finished its season with a successful 10-7 overall record and a trip to the postseason for the third time in the last four years.

Haverford was also named the 2016 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)/ZagSports Division III Merit Squad. The award is given to the team in each NCAA division, as well as the NAIA, that posts the highest overall team GPA for the year. In earning the prestigious designation, the Fords finished the 2015-16 academic year with the highest GPA among 130 Division III programs that posted at least a 3.0 GPA.
