CARLISLE, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse team could not get past host Dickinson on Saturday afternoon, falling by a final score of 19-11 at Biddle Field on the Dickinson campus. Allie Gibbons had four goals to pace the Fords while Kate Sollee added three assists.

Gibbons had six draw controls while Sarina Manetta added two goals, two ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers. Haverford falls to 5-6 overall on the season (1-3 CC) while the Red Devils are now 7-4 overall (4-0 CC).

The Fords fell behind 4-0 as an early Dickinson run put the Fords in a bind. Haverford responded with vigor, tallying the next three goals to cut the lead to 4-3. Maeve Gaffney tallied unassisted before Eliza Brosgol added a pair of goals, converting a free-position attempt before taking a feed from Allie Gibbons.

Dickinson rattled off yet another 4-0 scoring run, taking an 8-3 lead with 12:53 left in the first half of play. Kate Sollee scored to cut things to 8-4 and Molly Lausten scored just before halftime as the Fords trailed just 10-6 at the halftime break.

Haverford would get no closer than four goals away from tying the Red Devils.
