Why did you choose Haverford?
I knew I wanted a small liberal arts school with rigorous academics and athletics. To me Haverford seemed to have the best balance between the two and I felt it was a place I could succeed in both these endeavors rather than just one. People say that you will know when a school is right for you. I didn't really believe this until I visited Haverford and immediately felt a sense of community and comfort that was unlike any other school I had been to. After doing an overnight visit with the team I knew these were the type of people I wanted to be friends with for the next four years!

What is your favorite team experience?
It is so hard to pick just one! Every day with my team is another fun adventure! One memory that really sticks out was during my first year, we had a thunder delay during one of our games. While waiting to go back out to play we had an impromptu dance party in the locker room! Everyone was singing and dancing and when we could finally continue the game we were so pumped up!

Why did you choose to play a sport in college?
Lacrosse is such a crucial part of my life that I could not imagine giving it up after high school. Like all of my teammates and other athletes at Haverford, sports are something we have dedicated our lives to and worked so hard to get where we are today. There is nothing quite like the bond between teammates. My teammates have always been my best friends and a second family and I knew I wanted to continue this experience in college.

What does being a student-athlete mean to you?
Being a student-athlete means you have a family here on campus consisting of not just your team but the whole athletic community that will support you! To succeed in both academics and athletics you need to be disciplined and dedicated! It can be hard to manage school and lacrosse but at the end of the day being a student-athlete is completely worth it and is something I take a lot of pride in!

What advice would you give a high school student considering Haverford?
Come for an overnight! The best way see all Haverford has to offer is to spend time with current students and your potential future teammates!
