ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Haverford College women's lacrosse team (5-1) traded in the familiar confines of Swan Field for the Gulf Coast of Florida this week, but the change of scenery had no impact on the hot start to the season from the offense. Haverford again eclipsed the 20-goal mark in a 22-8 victory over RIT (1-2) on Tuesday at Ann Dever Park. The Fords have now scored 20 or more goals in three straight contests.  Allie Gibbons led the attack with five goals, while Julia Manetta tallied four while adding two more assists to her career-record total. Rina Rosnow notched a hat trick while Hailey Morris and Hannah Lopez also had multi-goal games for Haverford.

Gibbons finished the day with 27 goals this season, five clear of Rosnow for the Centennial Conference lead. As a team, The Fords lead the conference in goals, assists, and points, all by comfortable margins.

The Fords grabbed the first five goals of the contest, building the 5-0 advantage just over 10 minutes into the contest. RIT responded with a free-positon goal to stop the run, but Haverford went back on the offensive, with Manetta and Gibbons each tallying a pair of scores in a 4-0 spurt as Haverford found itself up by a 9-1 margin with 11:34 left in the stanza.

RIT cut the lead to six with 8:01 to play, but Rosnow and Lopez each promptly found the back of the net for an 11-3 advantage. With less than four minutes left in the first half, Haverford unleashed another 2-0 spurt, with Rosnow and Lopez again finding the back of the net in succession as the Fords headed to the intermission up 13-5. The lead reached 10 with a free-position strike from Maeve Gaffney with 26:31 left in the second. The goal that triggered a running clock and was part of a 7-0 run out of the halftime gates as Haverford took command of the contest, leading 20-5 with 13:36 to play.

Amelia Slade was called upon to make seven saves in her 34:47 of action. Sarah Cahn made three saves in her 16:07 of relief duty between the pipes. Olivia DiRienz had a game-best five draw controls while Sarah Svetec added four. Gibbons and Belle McMahon each had three caused turnovers while Courtney Cubbin added a pair. Slade had three ground balls to pace Haverford, with four Fords adding a pair. Meghan Donahue and Alanna Fallone each had three-goal games for the Tigers. Pauline Goodermote made eight saves for RIT.

Haverford now returns to action on Thursday, as spring break action in Florida continues with a 10 a.m. opening draw against Skidmore at Englewood's Ann Dever Park.
