HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's soccer team jumped back into fifth place in the Centennial Conference standings with a 7-0 victory over Bryn Mawr on Wednesday afternoon. The Fords (8-5-2, 5-3-1 CC) displayed great teamwork throughout the match as seven different players scored a goal. Haverford broke the program record with nine assists as two of the team's goals were double-assisted. The Fords previously recorded eight assists as a team against Washington College and Kalamazoo, with both occasions coming during the 2005 season.

Bryn Mawr was able to fend off Haverford's offensive rush for over 21 minutes before the Fords broke through on a goal from Leanne Ludwick. On the first of Haverford's two doubled-assisted goals, great passing from Sydney West and Grace Mathis put Ludwick right on the doorstep of goal for her third tally of the season. Just 36 seconds later, co-captain Maryanna Solecki scored her third goal of the season as Kelly Brown took the ball away from the Owls' defense and her classmate finished to the lower left corner of the goal. The quick strike attack of the Fords added its third goal in a span of just 1:09 as co-captain Katie Safter took a pass from Mia Reyes to record her fourth goal of the season, tying her for the team lead.

After assisting on an earlier goal, West got into the scoring act with a header during the 25th minute as Ludwick returned the favor with an additional assist from Abby Crowley to make the score 4-0. Crowley's assist was the first offensive point of the senior defender's career. West goal also tied her with Safter and Mathis for the team lead at four.

Seniors scored five of Haverford's six first half goals as Isabella Gross and Hannah Krapes later helped to make it 6-0 Fords after 45 minutes of soccer. Gross' third career goal, and second this season, came during the 32nd minute off a pass from Krapes. Krapes was later rewarded with her first goal of the season, and fifth of her career, with just under five minutes remaining before the half. Saede Eifrig was credited with her first assist of the season on Krapes goal.

Elle Ferreira scored her first career goal to highlight the second half action for the Fords. Her goal came off an assist from Kendra Griesman with just over 25 minutes left in the match. Heading into the final match of the regular season, the Fords have now had 12 different players score a goal this fall. Eight of those 12 players have recorded multiple goals during the 2018 campaign.

Women's soccer will wrap up the regular season this Saturday at Swarthmore with a 7 p.m. match under the lights. The Fords can officially clinch a playoff spot with a win in the Hood Trophy matchup or with help from around the Centennial Conference.
