LANCASTER, Pa. – The Haverford College women's soccer team took its winning streak on the road Saturday and did not miss a beat as the Fords were 4-0 winners at Franklin & Marshall. The Fords (8-1) further extended their school record following their seventh consecutive shutout and have now won eight straight overall to hold sole possession of that school record.

Haverford scored twice in each half. Leanne Ludwick tallied a pair of goals for the second multi-goal game of her season to go along with assisting on the game-winning tally. Kendra Griesman registered a career-high three points as she finished with a goal and an assist, while Saede Eifrig scored in her fourth straight game overall.

The Fords' first half goals both came from the Ludwick-Griesman connection. Griesman tallied the game-winner as she was able to finish a deflected shot for her second tally of the year during the 29th minute of play. Ludwick was credited with the assist on that opening goal. Just over 10 minutes later, Ludwick got on the end of a long pass from Griesman to make the score 2-0 before the break. After today's victory, Griesman now has two goals and one assist on the season and a total of six goals and five assists throughout her career.

Eifrig made the score 3-0 during the 57th minute of play as she came down with the possession in the midst of heavy defensive pressure. She was able to turn and fire her shot into the back of the net to open the second half scoring. Eifrig's goal was the fourth of her junior campaign and gives her nine goals for her career.

Ludwick capped Haverford's scoring with just under 25 minutes remaining in the match. Taking one of Haverford's five corner kicks on the day, Ludwick found the back of the net directly off of the corner kick for her 10th goal of the season. Her 10th goal this season marks the first time since Jo Haller '16 did so as a senior in 2015 that a Haverford player has scored 10 goals in a single season. Ludwick is now averaging what would be a school-record 1.11 goals per match through the first nine contests of the season. The reigning Centennial Conference Player of the Week continues to lead the conference in goals (10), assists (6), and points (26) this season.

The senior co-captain's 50 career points move her to 12th all-time in program history and within one point of Haverford College Director of Athletics Wendy Smith '87 on the all-time points list. Ludwick's 19 career goals and 12 assists rank 11th and 12th, respectively, in program history.

Haverford finished today's match with a 14-7 advantage in shots. Hannah Friedrich got the start in goal for the Fords and made two saves before Claire Cywes came on to play the second half and made one additional stop. Haverford has not conceded a goal during its last 723:59 of playing time, a streak that extends back to the first weekend of the season.

Women's soccer will now have a full week of preparation before its match this coming Saturday against Johns Hopkins. The Fords and Blue Jays are both unbeaten in Centennial Conference action and will play that CC showdown at 12 p.m. on Walton Field.
