COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Haverford College women's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to 10 straight matches with a 6-1 road win at Ursinus on Tuesday evening. The Fords (9-1-1, 3-0-1 CC) closed the evening with five unanswered goals against the Bears (3-6-2. 0-5 CC) to turn a 1-1 deadlock into a convincing Centennial Conference victory.

Five different players scored under the lights as Haverford got the offense going just over 17 minutes into the contest. Saede Eifrig was impactful all night and set up the Fords' first goal as she beat her defender down the left sideline and found Leanne Ludwick to put the Fords up 1-0. Ludwick's 11th goal of the season added to her Centennial Conference lead and moves her into the top 10 in school history for most goals in a single season. Ludwick's goal was the 20th of her Haverford career.

Ursinus tied the game during the 29th minute of play, but the Fords answered less than 10 minutes later with a pair of goals that came just 2:25 apart. The Bears were whistled for a foul inside the box with just over six minutes before the half and Mia Reyes confidently stood and delivered her first career penalty kick goal for the eventual game-winner. Two minutes later, Lauren Nguyen found the back of the net on a direct kick from about 25 yards away to give the Fords a 3-1 lead at the break.

Not letting down in the second half, Haverford continued to push the pace. Kendra Griesman got into the scoring act to start the second half as she headed home a free kick from Eifrig for her third goal this season. The assist was Eifrig's sixth of the fall to rank third in the Centennial Conference. Less than three minutes after that, Celia Page scored her eighth goal this season to put the Fords up 5-1. With her most recent tally, Page is tied for second in the Centennial Conference in goals, trailing only her teammate Ludwick. She nice passing in a crowded space from Reyes gave her three points on the evening to go along with her penalty kick goal from the opening half.

Haverford capped its offensive outburst with just over five minutes to play as the host Bears were called for another foul in the box. This time, Nguyen stepped up to the PK spot for the first time in her career and hammered home her second goal of the night. Nguyen's performance marked the first two-goal game of her career.

The Fords were very efficient on the offensive end as they scored on six of their nine shots on goal. Nguyen found the back of the net on her only two shots of the night while the Fords scored on nearly half of their 13 total shots. Hannah Friedrich played the full 90 minutes in goal and was called on to make three saves during the Centennial Conference victory.

Women's soccer will be back on the road this Saturday as Haverford travels to first-place Gettysburg. That Centennial Conference showdown between the Fords and Bullets will get underway at 1 p.m.
