Women's Squash Avenges Early Season Loss to Vassar

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's squash team avenged an earlier season loss to the Vassar College Brewers with an 8-1 victory at the GIAC Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Bethany Simmonds won 3-0 at the No. 2 position while senior Alex Love secured a 3-0 victory. Senior Samara Flug was pushed to a decisive fifth game, but scored an 11-8 win to record the point for Haverford. Sophomore Isabel Agnew tallied a three-game conquest while junior Emily Berlin dropped just one game. Junior Alyssa Kaden, freshman Grace Fioramonti-Gorchow and senior Avery Weisel did not lose a game at their positions.

At the No. 1 position, Hannah Nice took down freshman Isabelle Gotuaco to pick up the only point for Vassar.

Haverford improved its record to 8-4 on the season. Head coach Niki Clement's squad will host Colgate and Georgetown next Saturday.
