HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's squash team will head to the College Squash Association (CSA) Women's Team Championships this weekend. The event, hosted by Princeton, will take place at Princeton University as well as The Lawrenceville School in neighboring Lawrence Township. The tournament takes place from Friday through Sunday between the two venues.

There will be a total of 39 teams competing in six divisions. Haverford has been selected as the No. 33 team in the overall seeding and will face off with teams in the E Division as the top seed in the grouping.

The Fords will be in Round Robin Pool A, clashing with No. 39 Washington University in St. Louis in the first match of the championships at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Haverford is then slated to take on No. 36 Colgate on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The teams in Pool A will next be pitted against teams from Pool B in Sunday matches, with the winners of each pool facing off to determine an E Division championship at 10:30 a.m. in Princeton. Pool B features No. 34 Georgetown, No. 37 Rochester, No. 35 Smith and No. 38 Fordham.

Haverford has yet to play any of the teams in its pool this season, but did dispatch the top team in Pool B, Georgetown. The February 4 match was contested at the GIAC Squash Courts on the Haverford campus.

The Fords won three of their final five matches in the regular season and will be looking to close the 2016-17 campaign with an E Division Championship for the third time in five seasons. Haverford also accomplished the feat in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Senior co-captain Isabel Agnew is the reigning Harrow Sports National Women's Squash Player of the Week. A product of Falmouth, Maine, Agnew finishes her regular season career with a 34-30 overall record. Her 34 career wins are the second most in program history to Rachel Kaplan '99, who tallied 38. Freshman Kaitlin Reese and junior co-captain Isabelle Gotuaco have patrolled the top two spots on the ladder for Haverford this season.

First round action begins Friday at 6 p.m. at the Lawrenceville School when the Fords take on Washington University in St. Louis. The tournament action continues throughought the weekend. Live results and a video stream of select courts at Princeton will be available via the CSA website.
