Lauren Johnston, a former standout women’s squash player at Franklin & Marshall, joined the Haverford College coaching staff for the 2019-20 season. Johnston graduated from F&M in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in public health.

Johnston was appointed to the College Squash Association’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Coaches Committee in January of 2021.

During her playing career, Johnston was a two-time CSA Individual Championships qualifier (2015, 16) and helped lead the Diplomats to their highest ranking (14th) in program history. In addition to her success on the courts, Johnston also worked with F&M’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

She has also volunteered her time working with Squash Aces as a tutor where she provided academic guidance as well as squash coaching to selective middle school and high school students through the urban squash enrichment program. Since her graduation from F&M, Johnston has worked for the Bethesda Project as a case manager.
