HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's tennis team is ranked No. 11 in the second release of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Atlantic South Region team rankings. After starting the spring season with a grueling non-conference schedule of four straight nationally-ranked teams, the Fords are off to a 2-0 start in Centennial Conference play with victories against Gettysburg and Bryn Mawr.

Haverford is one of four teams that is still undefeated in the early part of the Centennial Conference schedule. Two of those other unbeaten teams, Johns Hopkins and Swarthmore, are ranked fifth and seventh overall in the region. The fourth remaining unbeaten team is Franklin & Marshall, a squad that the Fords will battle this coming Saturday.

Women's tennis notched its two conference victories with back-to-back 7-2 wins. Clara Farrehi and Ananya Prakash have matched the team's start with 2-0 records in their singles matches, while the doubles pairing of Natalie Williams and Prakash also remains unblemished through the first two conference matches. Claire Johnson is leading Haverford with four wins in singles overall dating back to the fall season while Jane Bary and Anne Tobin have a team-best four wins in doubles together so far this year. Williams also has combined for four victories in doubles with various playing partners.

The Fords will look to close the month of March a perfect 3-0 in Centennial Conference action this Saturday at Franklin & Marshall. First serves in that match are scheduled for 12 p.m. Haverford will return home next Wednesday, April 3 for another CC battle against Muhlenberg that starts at 4 p.m.
