CARLISLE, Pa. - The No. 36 ranked Haverford College women's tennis team (9-5, 4-2 CC) etched another victory on the road in Centennial Conference play, taking down the Red Devils of Dickinson (6-8, 1-5 CC) at the Hays Tennis Courts on the Dickinson campus. The Fords prevailed by a 7-2 final as Haverford has now won four consecutive matches in CC play.

A depleted Haverford side only had five players available for the trip to Dickinson, but made the most of its opportunities as Ellie Esterowitz and Abbey Russano stepped into the top doubles pairing and did well to grab a straightforward 8-1 victory over Martine Fierro and Ariana Goitz. The second doubles pairing of Mimi Lavin and Summer Williams also looked strong in handling Izzy Desjardins and Lexi Epstein by an 8-4 final before singles competition began in earnest.

With the match tied at 2-2 due to the defaults at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles, the Fords emerged to make quick work of the Red Devils. First to finish was Mimi Lavin getting the best of Epstein at the second flight (6-1, 6-1). Next to finish, Esterowitz took down Goitz (6-1, 6-0).

Abbey Russano clinched the match for Haverford with her methodical 6-4, 6-0 straight-set victory Fierro, and Summer Williams then got past Annabelle Armendarez (6-3, 6-2) before Liv Pindzola put a final tally in the Haverford side of the ledger, winning the first game against Dana Kleinman (6-4) before losing the second (4-6). The third game was decided by a superbreaker with Pindzola recording the 10-4 win. Pindzola has recorded three consecutive wins overall, and was making her debut at the fifth flight.

The Fords improved to 17-10 overall against Dickinson, including four consecutive victories in the series. Women' s Tennis next returns to action on Tuesday, hosting Ursinus at 4 p.m. on the Marshall Courts before Senior Day on Saturday against TCNJ.
