A three-time All-American for the Pomona-Pitzer men’s tennis team, Tommy Meyer joined the Haverford College women’s tennis program as an assistant coach during the 2017-18 season.

During his standout career, Meyer was a nationally-ranked singles player during each his four seasons with the Sagehens. He earned All-American status for his singles play in each of his final three seasons (2010, 11, 12). During that 2011 campaign, he advanced all the way to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals in singles and finished the year ranked ninth in the country. A three-time NCAA qualifier, Meyer was a four-time All-SCIAC selection, earning first-team honors during those final three seasons in which he competed at the NCAA Championships.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Meyer attended Conrad Weiser High School in Robesonia where he was a three-time Berks County Player of the Year and four-time All-Berks County selection. He won the county’s singles and doubles championships during his sophomore through senior seasons. A two-time PIAA doubles silver medalist, Meyer was also a two-time District III Champion in singles after recording a pair of runner-up finishes in his first two seasons.

Meyer graduated from Pomona College in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology before going on to become an English Teaching Assistant in Bulgaria as part of the The Fullbright Program. He currently works at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Behavioral Health Pre-Certification Coordinator/Scheduler in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences department.
