Women's track opens indoor season at Jack Pyrah Invite

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Several members of the Haverford College women's track & field team opened the indoor season Saturday afternoon at the Jack Pyrah Invitational hosted by Villanova University at The Gary Lutnick Tennis & Track Center in Haverford's Alumni Field House.

Freshman Elizabeth Reikowski recorded the Fords' highest finish of the day as she placed eighth in the triple jump. Reikowski leapt 10.1 meters (33 feet, 1.75 inches) in her first collegiate competition.

Also participating in a field event on Saturday was junior Kimberly Haughton, who finished 15th in the long jump with a mark of 4.83 meters (15-10.25).

Action on the track saw Alexandra Ranucci and Carolyn Oehrig place 13th and 14th, respectively, in the 60-meter hurdles while juniors Natasha Stanley and Jade Andrade registered an identical time (8.92 seconds) in the 60m dash.

The season continues on Saturday, Dec. 14 when the Fords host the Haverford Holiday Meet. The action inside Alumni Field House will begin at 11 a.m.
