Riffenburgh Credited with 15th Place at NCAA Indoor 5K

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship officials made their ruling on Saturday morning and Kelley Riffenburgh was credited with a 15th place finish for the 5,000 meters in her indoor national championship debut.

With the confusion at the finish line in yesterday's championship race, no official times were given to the individual finishers. Fittingly so, Lucy Cheadle of Washington University was credited with the national championship victory. The top eight finishers in the official standings will be presented with All-America certificates.

With the NCAA ruling on the 5,000 meters, Riffenburgh's event marks the official end to the women's indoor track & field season. The first outdoor meet of the track & field season is scheduled for Friday, March 21 when the team travels to Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania for the Philadelphia College Classic.
