Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Amelia Keyser-Gibson added another accolade to a decorated career as the Centennial Conference recognized her as the indoor track athlete of the week following her individual mile title at the McElligott Invitational over the weekend.

Keyser-Gibson, an indoor All-American and four-time All-Centennial selection between the three running seasons, picked up her first career athlete of the week honor with this selection. Keyser-Gibson won the mile this weekend with a time of 5:06.47, a mark that was over two full seconds ahead of her closest competitor inside the Alumni Field House.

With a personal best time of 5:06.47, she is now the 10th fastest runner in school history for the indoor mile. Additionally, that time converts to 5:03.47 due to track size for NCAA qualification purposes and ranks her 13th in all of Division III.

The senior captain's win was her fourth individual win during her indoor track & field career. She also won the mile at the 2015 Widener Invitational and was the 5,000 meter champion during both the 2016 Centennial Conference indoor championship and the 2016 McElligott Invitational.

Keyser-Gibson is a two-time Centennial Conference Champion during the indoor season as she was also a member of the Fords' distance medley relay in 2016 where she later went on to earn All-American accolades at the NCAA Division III Championships that same year as a member of the third place relay. Keyser-Gibson has also been to nationals three times as a member of the cross country team.

Women's indoor track & field will split its team up this coming Saturday with some individuals heading to the Tufts Invitational while the majority of the team will compete at Ursinus' Frank Colden Invitational. Both meets are scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m.
