NEW YORK, N.Y. – A pair of strong times in the mile from the last two Centennial Conference Track Athletes of the Week led the Haverford College women's indoor track & field team to a successful Friday at the Armory.

Amelia Keyser-Gibson (5:00.61) and Nicole Giannetti (5:00.91) both ran personal best times to sweep the top two positions in the mile. Those times move the senior classmates to the seventh and eighth fastest individuals in program history for that event. The pairing is ranked 12th and 14th, respectively, in Division III with those marks as of press time.

Haverford also had four other top 10 finishes in the mid-distance to distance races. Sophie Drew (10:29.19) and Molly Hawkins (10:53.93) placed third and sixth, respectively, as Haverford's only entrants in the 3,000 meters. Katie Sullivan paced the 800 meter runners for the Fords with a time of 2:23.30 to place fifth overall while Hannah Yeakey finished eighth in the 5,000 meters as she crossed the line in a time of 18:35.01.

Headlining the sprinting events was a fifth place showing from Marisa Antinori in the 60 meter dash and top 10 time in school history from Kat Turner. Antinori qualified to the finals of the 60 meters with a season-best time of 8.21 seconds and placed fifth overall with a finals time of 8.26 seconds. Jessica Lopez placed 15th in the heats with a time of 8.63 seconds in that same event. Turner became the 10th fastest runner in program history in the 60 meter hurdles as she placed 14th in the heats with an even 10 second time.

In the field events, the Fords entered a trio of jumpers in both the long and triple jumps. Lopez turned in the best finish among those entrants with an 11th place finish in the triple jump. Her best leap was measured at 10.10 meters. Turner also contested the triple jump, marking 9.79 meters to place 17th. Kerry Quigley and Antinori had their best long jumps measured at 4.69 meters to place 13th and 14th overall. Sophia Nelson recorded a long jump of 4.18 meters to place 29th.

Women's indoor track & field will return home to the Alumni Field House next Saturday, February 17 for the Keogh Invitational. That meet will get underway with the field events starting at 11:30 p.m. and is the final competition for the team before the Centennial Conference Championships at the end of the month.
