HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team hosted the Keogh Invitational on Saturday in its final preparations for next weekend's Centennial Conference Indoor Championships. The meet gave the Fords a good gauge for where some of their individuals stand as seven teams from the conference made the trek to the Alumni Field House.

Jessica Lopez highlighted the Fords' day on the track as she won the 60 meter dash in a personal-best time of 7.96 seconds. Her new PR is the best mark in the conference this season and moves her into a tie for second place in Haverford's record books. Her new mark was eight-hundredths of a second faster than her previous career best time set earlier this season.

Lopez was one of eight scoring performances from the Fords on the track. The largest Haverford contingent entered into the 800 meter field. Sophie Drew was the highest Haverford finisher in that event as she placed third with a time of 2:22.42. Molly Hawkins turned in another scoring performance in that event with a seventh place finish (2:26.69). In the longest race of the afternoon, Natalia Cordon placed third overall in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:21.65 in her first career race at that distance.

Haverford's shot putters both turned in new personal bests and will head into the conference meet with newfound momentum. Mari Horton's best throw was measured at 11.01 meters (36'-1.5"). That mark placed her third in the field and moves her up to seventh in Haverford's record books. Unique Tuberville was fifth on Saturday (10.64 meters; 34'-11") as she improved her ninth overall ranking on the College's all-time list.
