CHESTER, Pa. - The Haverford College women's track & field team shined on the final day of the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University.

The Fords went 1-2 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with senior Nora Howe placing first in 12 minutes, 18.96 seconds and classmate Chelsea Thorsheim following in second (12:28.04).

Haverford also ran well in the 1,500-meter run as senior Hope Rainey's time of 4:49.55 was good for second. Sophomore Nora Weathers gave the Fords two finishers in the top five with a fourth-place time of 4:51.00.

Senior Erin Seglem delivered a career outdoor-best time of 2:24 in the 800 to take third while junior Katherine Greifeld placed sixth (2:27.21).

Junior Kimberly Haughton led the effort off the track with a 10th-place finish in the long jump.

The Fords' schedule continues next weekend as they travel to Williamsburg, Va., to compete in the 49th Annual Colonial Relays hosted by William and Mary on April 4-5.
