Women's track competes on first day of conference championships

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - A handful of members of the Haverford College women's track & field team competed on the first day of the Centennial Conference outdoor championships hosted by Swarthmore College.

Senior Flora Berklein and junior Charlotte Lellman scored points for the Fords as they finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 10,000-meter run. Berklein crossed the line in 37 minutes, 56.56 seconds while Lellman came through with a career-best time of 38:00.98.

Saturday's action at Swarthmore begins at 8:45 a.m. The day's schedule includes trials in several events and the finals of the long jump, discus, 3,000-meter steeplechase and 4x800 relay.
