Women's Track Posts a Pair of Top 10 D-III Times at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team opened up its split weekend with a pair of individuals competing at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational. The Fords were represented by their two indoor NCAA Championship qualifiers, Nora Weathers and Kelley Riffenburgh, and came home with a pair of top 10 times in Division III this season.

Riffenburgh made her way into the College's record book with a fifth place finish in the 10,000 meters to close the evening's races. Her time of 37:39.48 ranks her as the ninth fastest individual in school history in the event. That mark currently ranks 10th in Division III as of press time.

Running the 1,500 meters, Weathers placed sixth overall in her heat of 15 runners and 15th overall in the field of 38 individuals that spanned three heats. Her time of 4:39.75 was just over a second off her personal best. That time currently ranks seventh in Division III during the outdoor season.

The Fords continue their weekend of competition tomorrow at the Muhlenberg Invitational. Muhlenberg will later serve as the host of the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
