CHESTER, Pa. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team wrapped up its second day at the Danny Curran Invitational on Saturday. The Fords focused most of their attention on the sprints and hurdles while several field athletes also competed.

In those field events, Claire Sargent stretched her school record in the hammer throw out to 111 feet, five inches (33.98 meters). Her new personal best marked an improvement of 12 feet from just one week ago. Unique Tuberville also broke Sargent's previous school record with her best toss being marked at 110 feet, four inches in what was just her second collegiate meet. The Haverford duo finished 14th and 15th, respectively.

In the jumps, Elizabeth Reikowski had a pair of top 10 finishes. She placed seventh in the triple jump with her best mark coming at 10.29 meters. Her 4.58 meter measurement in the long jump placed her ninth in that event. Louise Bednarik placed 19th in the triple jump with her best leap of 9.19 meters.

Taylor Murphy placed sixth on the track in the 100 meter hurdles, crossing the line in a time of 15.67 seconds. She was also part of the Fords' sixth place 4x400 meter relay which finished in a time of 4:20.07 and also featured Amy Zamora, Katie Sullivan, and Kerry Quigley. Murphy was also Haverford's top finisher in the 100 meter dash with a 14th place finish in a time of 13.17 seconds. Zamora was the top Ford in the 400 meters with a time of 1:07.83. The only middle distance event the Fords contested was the 1500 meters where Mariana Ramirez's 32nd place finish in a time of 5:19.11 led four Haverford entrants.
