Sullivan Climbs National Rankings with PR at Princeton

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The distance runners took center stage for the Haverford College women's track and field team on Friday night as the Fords had entrants in both the Larry Ellis Invitational and the Widener Invitational. The night ended with Katie Sullivan turning in the 11th fastest time in Division III this season in the 1,500 meters.

Running at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational, Sullivan placed 39th overall in a field packed with Division I entrants. She completed the 1,500 meter distance in a time of 4:36.34. Her new personal best time in the event is ranked 11th in Division III this season as of press time and is the sixth fastest time in the event in school history.

Amelia Keyser-Gibson also competed in the talented field at Princeton, placing 47th in the 5,000 meter field. The Fords' junior crossed the line with a time of 17:53.44. Haverford also had three entrants in the 5,000 meters at Widener. Amanda Glavin led that trio as she placed second in her heat and 25th overall with a time of 19:17.41. Allison Hacker (19:26.52) and Mckenna Krall (19:44.63) finished 29th and 35th, respectively.

The women's track & field team will solely turn its attention to the Widener Invitational tomorrow. Saturday's action gets underway at 9 a.m. with the field events while the racing on the track will resume at 10 a.m.
