Reikowski, Murphy Compete at Mideast Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team will now await the announcement of accepted entries to the NCAA Division III Championships after sending just two individuals to compete at the Mideast Invitational on Thursday afternoon. The meet was hosted by Widener.

Taylor Murphy, the Centennial Conference Champion in the 100 meter hurdles, finished fourth overall with a time of 15.24 seconds. This meet was also the sight where Murphy set her season-best time of 15.16 seconds back in April during the Widener Invitational.

Elizabeth Reikowski completed her track & field career with a triple jump that measured 10.35 meters. Reikowski, who was just named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team for the third time in her career today, graduates from Haverford ranked fourth in program history for that event. She was a three-time All-Centennial Conference performer in her specialty event between the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Women's track & field will now await the results of the final qualifying meets being contested throughout today. Katie Sullivan is currently ranked 11th in Division III in the 1,500 meters, while Nicole Giannetti is right on the bubble at No. 22 in the steeplechase. The top 22 declared entrants will compete at the national championships next Thursday through Saturday in Geneva, Ohio. Accepted entrants to the national meet will be announced on Saturday.
