EWING, N.J. – The Haverford College women's outdoor track & field team had its final tune-up before the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships at TCNJ's Lions Invitational on Saturday. The Fords totaled five top 10 finishes with several others just missing out on those placements.

Mid-distance races highlighted the day for the Fords. Katie Sullivan turned in the 16th fastest time in Division III for the 1,500 meters this season as she placed third in that event with a time of 4:34.36. Amelia Keyser-Gibson recorded a ninth place showing in that same event as she crossed the line in 4:42.89 as those two headlined a field which featured six Haverford entrants.

In the 800 meter race, Nicole Giannetti became the 10th fastest individual in school history with her time of 2:18.99. That time was good enough for ninth place overall. Molly Hawkins cracked the top 20 finishers in that race with her mark of 2:25.52, while Amalia Axinn (2:27.04) also broke the 2:30 mark in another event full of Fords.

Haverford's 4x400 meter relay placed fifth with a time of 4:18.07. The 4x400 team featured Tess Oberholtzer, Jessica Lopez, Kerry Quigley, and Molly Hawkins. The 4x100 meter relay team of Marisa Antinori, Lopez, Kat Turner, and Quigley was sixth as it crossed the finish line in a time of 51.49 seconds. In addition to running the relays, Lopez just missed a top 10 finish in the 100 meter dash as the first year reached the finish in 13.11 seconds. Grace Pindzola was Haverford's top finisher in the 200 (29.79) and 400 (1:06.77) meter races. Two more members of the relay teams, Oberholtzer and Turner finished 13th and 14th, respectively, during the 100 meter hurdles with times of 16.81 seconds and 16.87 seconds.

Quigley and Louise Bednarik were Haverford's only entrants in the field events as both contested the long jump. Quigley just missed a top 10 finish as she placed 11th with her best leap being marked at 4.72 meters. Bednarik's best mark of the day was 4.02 meters.

Women's outdoor track & field will now turn its attention to the Centennial Conference Championships which will run from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6 on the campus of Ursinus.
