LANCASTER, Pa. – Keri Godbe of the Haverford College volleyball team has been named the Centennial Conference player of the week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Godbe averaged 4.91 kills and 4.09 digs per set and posted five straight double-doubles in a 4-1 week for the Fords. The sophomore, who tallied at least 20 kills in every match during the week, now has 16 double-doubles in 21 matches this season.

The outside hitter led her squad to an undefeated weekend at the Beacons Invitational hosted by University of Massachusetts-Boston as she registered 92 total kills and hit over .320 in three of Haverford's four match wins.

Godbe, with 343 kills on the season, has already surpassed her freshman year performance in kills (330) with seven regular-season contests remaining while her season average of 4.4 kills per set currently ranks second in program history.

The native of Rapid City, S.D., is the first Haverford player to win the weekly award since Jenine Abbassi was recognized in November of 2010.

Godbe and her teammates will need to be at their best during another busy week for the Fords (15-6, 2-3 CC) as Haverford travels to McDaniel College on Thursday for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Green Terror before hosting defending conference champion Johns Hopkins University on Friday night at Gooding Arena.
