Today was a great day for the team!
We started off with some beach volleyball at Praia de Carcavelos (Carcavelos Beach) with the help of some coaches and players from the area (we'll be seeing them tomorrow on the indoor court—stay tuned!!)
After swimming and lunch at the beach, we transferred to Club Futebol os Belenenses for our first indoor practice of the trip (and the season). The coach at the club had us working hard for two hours, showing us new drills and preparing us for our match tomorrow. We were ready to eat after our practice, but tonight we had to cook for ourselves—we went to Lisbon Cooking Academy and cooked up some Portuguese cuisine to end our night.
With the help of the teachers at the academy, we managed to pull together a flawless three-course meal; we had a ton of fun cooking, and even more fun eating! Tomorrow is our first match, so stay tuned for details!! Thanks for reading!
