HAVERFORD, Pa. - Senior Chelsea Thorsheim placed fifth on Friday evening to pace the Haverford College women's cross country team at the Haverford Invitational.

Thorsheim, one of five Fords to finish in the top 20, completed the three-mile course in 18 minutes, 23.70 seconds. Sophomore Maggie Heffernan followed closely behind in sixth (18:26.60).

Senior Nora Howe ran well for the hosts with an 11th-place finish in 19:06.50.

Juniors Katherine Greifeld and Margaret Duffy also cracked the top 20 in 16th and 18th, respectively.

Kelsey Margey led all runners across the line in 17:11.40.

Haverford, tied for 15th in this week's Division III national rankings, turns it attention to the postseason. The Centennial Conference championship race, hosted by McDaniel College at the Carroll County Farm Complex, takes place on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Westminster, Md.
