NCAA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's cross country team was one of 16 teams selected for an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. With that bid, Haverford will now be able to enter a full team of seven entrants into the national meet.

The national championship will be held next Saturday, November 18. The race will take place in Elsah, Illinois with Principia College serving as the meet host. Women's cross country will be making its 17th appearance at the NCAA Championships, including its eighth trip in the last nine seasons during the upcoming week.

Haverford appeared to be in good position for a bid after placing third at the Mideast Regional on Saturday. That turned out to be the case as the Fords were one of three at-large teams selected from that regional.

With the announcement of at-large bids, Haverford is one of 17 schools in Division III to qualify both its men's and women's cross country teams to the national championship. The Haverford College men's cross country team earned an automatic bid to the national meet with a first place team finish at yesterday's meet.
