WINNECONNE, Wisc. – Hannah Doll saved one last impressive performance for the NCAA Championships as she placed 141st overall in a field of nearly 300 runners. Doll crossed the line in a time of 22:50.9 to finish 81 spots higher than her 222nd place finish a season ago when she made her national debut as a first year.

Working her way up through the field throughout the 6,000 meter race, Doll was 168th at the first split, but improved her position at each successive checkpoint. She was 160th at the second split and made her biggest jump at the third when she climbed all the way up to 145th. She eventually passed four more runners before crossing the finish. Saturday's time was within 13 seconds off of her personal best which she set at the conference championships this fall despite the tight quarters throughout the race with such a large field.

Doll wraps up her decorated cross country season as an All-Centennial Conference and All-Mideast Region performer for the first time in her cross country career. She placed 14th at the conference championships to earn second-team accolades. Doll followed that up with a 16th place finish at the regional meet. She was the team's top finisher in each meet she entered this fall.

Her appearance on the national stage marked the 27th time Haverford has been represented at the national championships in the 32 year history of the program. On 17 of those occasions, Haverford has qualified as a team while sending individuals in 10 other years.

While today marks the official close of the cross country seasons, the Fords will not have a long break as they get right into the indoor track & field season. The indoor season will begin with one meet in December, the Haverford Holiday Meet on Saturday, December 8.
