Women's Cross Country Welcomes Back Alumnae

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's cross country program welcomed back its alumnae to campus Saturday as the Fords hosted their annual Alumnae Open Race. In addition to the race finishers, many more alumnae and their families came back to support all of the race entrants.

A total of 20 runners competed between the alumnae and varsity. Amelia Keyser-Gibson '18 defended her Alumnae Open title as the top overall finisher with a time of 18:44.41 on the three-mile course. The alumnae team swept the top three spots overall as Sophie Drew '19 and Kelley Riffenburgh '15 followed their former teammate to the finish line. Junior Griffin Kaulbach was the top finisher for the varsity team while first-year Cate Tomson rounded out the top five.

The alumnae who returned to campus and finished the race were: Alice Vienneau '12, Kelley Riffenburgh '15, Amelia Keyser-Gibson '18, Katie Sullivan '18, Sophie Drew '19, and Kerry Quigley '19.

The 2019 varsity team returns to action with its full squad for the prestigious Main Line Invitational on Friday, September 20 on the Alumni Cross Country Course.
