Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College women's cross country standout sophomore Katie Hirsche has been named first-team All-Centennial Conference, the Centennial Conference office announced in its postseason awards release on Thursday afternoon.

Hirsche was also named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship team as the sophomore put together an impressive seventh place finish in the women's 8K championship race on Saturday at the Alumni Cross Country Course. Hirsche was at the head of the pack through the first split, and finished with a time of 22:27.3.

This is the second consecutive season that Haverford has earned a first-team All-Conference nod as Izzy Miller finished second overall in the Centennial Conference Championships a season ago at Johns Hopkins.

The Washington, D.C. product and the Fords will now prepare for the NCAA Metro Regionals in Center Valley, Pa. on Saturday, November 12. Hirsche will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the women's 6K race that is slated to begin at 11 a.m.  The regional race will feature seven individual entrants from each team with the top two squads earning automatic bids to the NCAA Championship. Haverford is the defending champion in the regional.
