HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has announced the 2019-20 Winter Academic Honor Roll. Haverford College was once again well represented as 52 student-athletes were honored for the Fords. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.
Men's basketball (7 recipients) led all Centennial Conference schools with the most student-athletes honored in that sport while women's indoor track & field (22 recipients) was second amongst its peer schools. Men's indoor track & field was third in the conference with 17 individuals represented while women's basketball had six student-athletes recognized.
Of those 52 Haverford student-athletes who were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, nine were also represented on their All-Centennial Conference teams. Anna-Sophia Capizzi was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year for women's basketball in addition to earning her spot on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. Men's indoor track & field had six student-athletes achieve both honors: Jeffrey Allen, Sam Ditkovsky, Matt Katz, Sam McCalpin, Simon Perales, and Nico Tripeny, while Jessica Lopez and Unique Tuberville earned both the academic and athletic honors for the women's indoor track & field team.
