Interested in Transferring to Haverford College?

If you are a student-athlete currently enrolled at an NCAA or NAIA institution and are interested in speaking to a coach or other member of the Athletics Department staff regarding a possible transfer to Haverford College, written permission must first be granted to Haverford.

Current Division I, II or NAIA Student-Athletes:

 Written permission must be granted from your current institution’s athletic director (or an athletics administrator designated by the athletics director).  Please contact your institution’s compliance coordinator or athletic director for more information.

Current Division III Student-Athletes:

Written permission may be granted by:

1. Your current institution’s athletic director (or an athletics administrator designated by the athletics director).

OR

2. You, the student-athlete, in the form of a Division III Self-Release.

 

Division III Self Release

  • May only be used by a Division III student-athlete interested in transferring to another Division III institution.
  • Effective for 30 days from the date of signature.
  • Contact within the initial 30 day period is confidential unless confidentiality is otherwise waived by the student-athlete.
  • If you decide not to pursue the transfer, the new college or university is not allowed to notify your current institution of the contact at any time.  
  • After 30 days, contact must cease until written permission is once again granted.
  • If a second self-release is issued, the institution in receipt of the release must then notify the student-athlete’s current institution.  

Current Haverford College Student-Athlete interested in transferring?

As a student-athlete currently enrolled at Haverford College, another institution’s coach or other athletics staff member may not have contact with you or your parents regarding a possible transfer unless written permission has been granted. 

Interested in transferring to a Division I or II School?

 Written permission must be granted by the athletic director (or an athletics administrator designated by the athletics director).  Please contact Wendy Smith (Director of Athletics) or Melissa Cruice (Compliance Coordinator) to obtain a release.

Interested in transferring to another Division III School:

Written permission may be granted by:

1. Your current institution’s athletic director. Please contact Wendy Smith (Director of Athletics) or Melissa Cruice (Compliance Coordinator) to obtain a release.

OR

2. You, the student-athlete, in the form of a Division III Self-Release
