Taylor Weiss joined Haverford as the Assistant Fitness Center Director/Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2019-20 academic year. Weiss is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and holds additional accreditation from USA Weightlifting. She brings five prior years of experience to Haverford as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach.

In addition to her responsibilities in strength and conditioning, Weiss will also work with the Office of Academic Resources on the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body program which educates the entire Haverford College community regarding mental, physical, and general health. Haverford’s fitness center staff additionally oversees the Joe Schwartz ’83 3K Run/Walk while also teaching courses within the physical education curriculum.

Weiss is the first full-time female employee on Haverford's strength and conditioning staff. Her experience in collegiate athletics comes from previous positions in the strength and conditioning department of the University of Richmond while most recently working as a personal trainer at the University of Miami. While at Miami, Weiss earned her master’s degree during the spring of 2019 in exercise physiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning. She obtained her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016.

Complementing her experience in college athletics, Weiss spent time at Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami as the assistant strength and conditioning coach while also serving as an assistant coach on the girl's weightlifting team. Her strength and conditioning background within organized athletics began as a junior in college when she worked as a speed and agility coach at Elite Athlete Development.
