HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College baseball team (6-8) fell to No. 9 Rowan (9-3) on Tuesday at Kannerstein Field, with the Profs prevailing by an 18-0 final. Haverford collected seven hits in the Monday matinee, with Zach Buck powering a double in the second inning to highlight the offensive performances. Pranav Rane laced a single in the ninth while Kyle Beach also grabbed a pinch-hit single in that final frame.

Martin Matsumura (0-2) got the ball to make the start for the Fords, and scattered five hits and four earned runs in his four innings of work, striking out three. Justin McAllister notched a pair of strikeouts in his 1.2 frames.

Rowan struck for five runs in the third and six in the fifth to pull away from the Fords. Ryan Mostrangeli and Eric DiDomenico each homered for the Profs, who are again off to a hot start after reaching the Division III College World Series a season ago.

The Fords return to action with four more contests this week, starting with a Tuesday matinee against Immaculata. The game is slated for a 3 p.m. start at Kannerstein Field before baseball return to the road with action on Thursday at TCNJ, before the squad heads out for a twinbill against Alvernia on Saturday afternoon.
