Why did you choose Haverford?
Stepping onto Haverford College's campus, you can immediately sense the tight-knit community that surrounds you. I felt it the first time I visited, and every day since then. Once I met the people here and experienced their acceptance and genuine kindness, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this team, school, and community.

What is your favorite team experience?
If I had to pick one, my favorite team experience so far would have to be driving up to Boston to play Tufts my sophomore year. On the bus ride there we were jamming to music and watching movies, and once we arrived we got to go apple picking and out to dinner in the city. We don't normally travel that far for games, so it was a ton of fun!

Why did you choose to play a sport in college?
Unlike a lot of student-athletes here at Haverford, I was not set on playing field hockey in college. However, as my senior season was coming to an end, I realized that I was not able to give up field hockey just yet. Looking back, I could not imagine college without field hockey; I love this sport and I love my team.

What does being a student-athlete mean to you?
Being a student-athlete at Haverford means that you have to find the right balance between academics and sports. It requires you to really plan ahead and manage your time accordingly. This can be hard, but it is worth it to be able to play the sport you love with your best friends.

What advice would you give a high school student considering Haverford?
If you are considering Haverford, definitely come visit! Trust me, you will be spending a lot of time with your team and your coach if you decide to come here, so you really want to get to know them. Plus, everyone here is happy to answer any questions you have and talk about their own experiences at Haverford, both as an athlete and a student.
