HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford junior Kelsey Chai has been named a PhiladelphiaFieldHockey.com Offensive Player of the Week. Chai joined Colleen Bradley of Immaculata, Madi Radnoff of Widener and Chelsea Semper of Swarthmore as Division III honorees in the weekly release.

Haverford outlasted visiting Juniata in double overtime last Wednesday evening, prevailing by a 2-1 final, thanks to a penalty stroke goal by Chai. The goal came four minutes and 19 seconds into the second overtime period. When a penalty stroke was awarded to the hosts following a penalty corner, Haverford turned to Chai with a chance to send the home crowd happy. The junior from West Valley, N.Y. calmly and swiftly delivered the game-winner, slotting her shot towards the far post and setting off a wild celebration on Swan Field.

Chai is 2-2 on penalty stroke goals this season, and is 3-4 in her career from the penalty spot.

Haverford returns to action tonight against Muhlenberg (4-2, 0-2 CC). First pass is slated for 7 p.m. as the Fords host the Centennial Conference opener under the lights on Swan Field.
